Dental Implant Technology
Digital X-Rays
The most important step to dental implant placement is a precise diagnosis to determine if you’re eligible, and if you may require additional procedures such as tooth extraction or bone grafting. Digital X-rays utilize advanced technology to create highly detailed X-ray images of your teeth, jawbones, and oral structures, all while producing up to 90% less radiation than traditional X-rays. The images are also produced almost instantaneously so you won’t have to wait while they’re developed.
CAT Scan
Computerized axial tomography (CAT) scanning combines various X-ray images of your oral structures from different angles to create a complete and comprehensive picture of your oral health. CAT scans are invaluable in helping us determine your eligibility for dental implant, as well as planning the details of your implant placement prodcedure.
Laser Procedures
When you need surgery to extract one or more teeth or to graft supportive tissue to your jawbone, our office employs a specially calibrated laser to perform your surgery, rather than a traditional scalpel. The diode laser offers significantly higher precision, which makes your procedure faster and your healing process shorter and more comfortable.
CAD/CAM
Computer-aided design/manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology allows us to plan, design, and place lifelike restorations, like porcelain dental crowns, in just one day. Typically, restorations are crafted in an off-site laboratory, which can take several weeks. At our office, CAD/CAM technology measures your tooth and mills the custom crown or restoration, all in-house and during a single visit.
