The Clinton Anderson Walkabout Tour

You’ve probably heard the saying, “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.” While we at the Dental Centre of Conroe examine the mouths of humans to help keep them healthy, at the Clinton Anderson Walkabout Tour, being held right here in our community of Conroe, TX, Clinton Anderson will explain his methods for keeping the bond between horse and human healthy and rewarding.

Who Is Clinton Anderson?

Clinton Anderson is an Australian-American horse trainer who has created a method of training called Downunder Horsemanship. Through this method, Clinton Anderson seeks to train horses naturally, safely, and effectively. He has had his own television show, and he currently has a large internet presence including his website for Downunder Horsemanship and a members-only site called the No Worries Club, which provides training journals and videos to help you create a strong partnership with your horse.

What Is the Walkabout Tour?

Clinton Anderson’s Walkabout Tour is a weekend full of horse training demonstrations and instructions with audience participation. Clinton Anderson demonstrates using his horses as well as local, untrained horses, to show how his methods work to give you a better understanding of what your horse responds to. Your own horse could even be a part of the show!

With a schedule including demonstrations such as “colt starting,” “cantering with confidence,” and “desensitizing your horse to spooky objects,” as well as autograph signings with Clinton Anderson, you’re sure to walk away from the tour with an experience that was not only fun and exciting, but informative and helpful.

When and Where Is the Tour?

The tour is being held this weekend: Saturday, January 25th and Sunday, January 26th, 2020, at the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center located at 9055 Airport Road, Conroe, TX. The events begin promptly at 9 AM each morning and end around 5:30 PM, with built-in lunch breaks each day.

The schedule can be found on their Facebook event page, and more information can be found on the Downunder Horsemanship website. From the website, you will also be able to read through their FAQs and register your horse as a demonstration horse. Tickets are $25 at the door, and No Worries Club members receive five free tickets to the tour.
