Let’s face it: who doesn’t like money, at least a little bit? But have you every looked at money from a collector’s point of view? Not only can paper bills and coins pay for things, they can be objects of beauty, and many have fascinating histories. While gold is no longer commonly used for secure implant crowns, there is still gold to be found at the Houston Money Show, conducted by the Texas Numismatic Association. TNA is a non-profit group that promotes educational, historical, cultural and other aspects of coins and money.
Where is The Money on Display?
The Houston Money Show takes place at the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center, at The Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 9055 Airport Rd, in Conroe, Texas.
When is The Show?
It takes place on January 17 and 18, 2020. The show is open from 9:00 to 6:00 pm
What Can I Expect To See?
There will be a wide variety of vendors, collectors and hobbyists, who are interested in buying, selling and collecting paper money from around the world, as well as coins, medals, tokens and coin-themed jewelry and gems. Items on display and for sale can include modern money, as well as coins that are hundreds of years old. You can also find books, educational material and supplies. Viewers can also see mis-struck coins or misprinted money, which have often become collectible specifically because of the errors.
