Tooth Pain And Implants: What’s Going On?

One of the most alarming symptoms associated with your smile is pain. So, keep in mind that though you may find the occurrence of discomfort when you have dental implants to be even more upsetting, the truth is, it is always going to catch you off guard (and you will never be too thrilled about it). Why do we say this? Well, because implant wearers often feel panicked when discomfort sets in and there’s no need to feel so overwhelmed by emotion. The only thing you need to worry about? Calling our Conroe, TX team for a visit! There’s always and answer and solution, of course. As for some insight to help you feel a bit better in the meantime, we can help with that, too!

Your Gums May Need Extra Care

We remind you that while your brain is telling you that you have pain around the site of your dental implant, that doesn’t mean that you definitely have implant-related pain. Or that anything is wrong with your implant! You could be dealing an unrelated gum health issue. (Or, of course, you could be dealing with a gum health issue that does relate to your implant). The point here is that you may need gum care, so see us soon. Gum issues progress quickly but are usually something that we can easily resolve.

It Could Be A Nearby Tooth

You may think that you’re experiencing pain at the site of your dental implant. However, remember that the nerves in your mouth don’t always provide you with very exact information. A neighboring tooth may have decay or some other issue that really has very little to do with your implant (unless you ignore the problem). See us soon and all should be well.

Your Implant May Need Attention

Is it possible that something is not quite on track with your dental implant? Of course! However, this is no reason to panic. It’s a reason to call our practice to let us know you think something may not be as it should. The result? You will come in for a checkup. Always remember that the sooner you act and allow us to check in your oral health and implant, the easier it will be to stop any problem that’s occurring and to make things better. Don’t wait, just come in!
