Builders and Makers: Lego and Duplo Fun

Do you know of a child (or maybe a grandchild) who loves to play with Lego and their chunkier cousin, Duplo blocks? Manipulating blocks can build motor skills, dexterity, spatial awareness, and exercise problem solving skills. Plus, they are fun! If you are ready for a change of atmosphere, with lots of building materials on hand, visit the Montgomery County Memorial Library Systems‘ Lego/Duplo building hour. These events take place each month, and the next one is right around the corner! It’s a perfect break, and a great way to spend some family time together in Conroe, TX.

Where Does This Lego Fun and Duplo Fun Happen?

Join others children and their caregivers at the Central Library, at 104 I-45 N. Conroe, TX 77301. Look for the building blocks in the Children’s Activity Room.  If this location isn’t near you, there are other library branch locations with Lego and Duplo activities. You can consult the library events schedule for a full listing of activities and locations.

When Should We Show Up?

Lego and Duplo playtime is scheduled on the 2nd Thursday, in months from September through May, at the Central branch. For December, the event will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12. The play hour is from 4-5 pm, and the library is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. The play hour ends at 5:00.

What Ages Are Welcome?

This activity is recommended for infants through 12 years old. An adult caregiver should remain in the activity room during the activity.
